SCHEDULE: 36.00 hours per week, must be available during the day, night, and weekends
WORK MODE: In-person
WORK LOCATION: Public Works, 2550 Boul Industriel, Laval, H7S 2G7
As a public works supervisor, you will organize, control, and supervise operations related to:
- roadways;
- sewer and aqueduct networks;
- snow removal;
- spreading;
- asphalting;
- horticulture;
- maintenance and installation of playground equipment.
This is to ensure optimal use of the resources at your disposal, to effectively maintain the geographical area assigned to you, and to ensure proper handling of citizen requests.
Additionally, you will assist your superior in managing the activities under their responsibility and will supervise the resources, including personnel, for which you are responsible in accordance with the allocated budget and the guidelines, objectives, directives, and instructions of your superior and the service management. Finally, you will produce reports on the management of the resources assigned to you and the activities for which you are responsible in order to submit relevant recommendations.
- Hold a college diploma (DEC) in civil engineering or a college certificate (AEC) in urban infrastructure foremanship or in supervising a team of employees;
- Four (4) years of relevant experience, including personnel management;
- Experience in managing unionized personnel is an asset;
- Must possess safety training for construction sites (SST);
- Class 5 driver's license.
